The Rampley Vintage Collection is made from archive silks recovered from decades of Italian textile production. The fabrics span 1962 to 1990, each one a time capsule to a different era of weaving. Each tie is handmade by our expert tie makers.

This Midnight Navy, Pale Blue and White Foulard Geometric Vintage Silk Tie is handmade in Italy using archive woven silk, the fabric dating from 1990.

ABOUT THE TIE

The midnight navy ground carries a two-motif foulard pattern alternating between a pale blue diamond starburst and a smaller white outlined square, a clean, geometric arrangement that draws on the foulard tradition while giving it a distinctly Milanese precision. The repeat is generous enough to read clearly, the palette cool and considered. It has the ease of a classic repeat with the structural confidence of a tie made at the height of Italian tailoring's influence.

Each tie in The Vintage Collection is handmade in Italy, cut to our current silhouette. The construction and finish are identical to everything else we make. The difference is the cloth.

HOW TO STYLE THIS TIE

The foulard is one of the most enduring patterns in neckwear, and this version earns its place in the tradition by doing it with more geometry and precision than most. The cool navy and pale blue combination makes it one of the most versatile ties in the collection. If you wear one tie for every occasion, this is a strong argument for it.

"If there’s one thing I look for when choosing a tie for my outfit, it’s for them to be subtle. Favourites of mine include their Navy and Bronze Silk Twill Tie from the Silk Tie collection, their Hazel Super Fine Merino Wool Tie in a historical Glen Check pattern and the Navy Prince of Wales Merino Wool Tie. The premium fabrics and self-tipped finishing make these ties perfect for any suit jacket. The details in your closet can push your outfit from good to great and when you choose to wear a piece from Rampley & Co, you can trust that.…" click to read full review.

The ties are the ideal width and length and their quality enables me to tie a full knot - always important. It's always worth keeping an eye on their website as the best designs come and go quickly...." click to read full review.
