This panoramic map showing a bird’s eye view of Houston is from the late 1800s, depicting the city of the day. We see the grid-like formation of the urban area and its streets, as well as quite an abundance of greenery, with the central spine of the Buffalo Bayou winding through the middle.
Contrastingly to the Houston of today, we do not see motorways nor the skyscrapers of the city’s business district. The colours are vibrant greens and blues with the dotting of orange-red buildings bringing some contrast. We see various Houston landmarks depicted in the small icons below, giving us a sense of the city of the day. These bright and cheerful tones will pair well with any dark or light-coloured suit in your collection.
