John Faed 1820-1902, Portrait of George Washington taking the Salute at Trenton, c.1899
100% Silk
Hand Rolled
Designed and Printed in Britain
42cm x 42cm
This silk pocket square features an equestrian portrait of George Washington painted by John Faed. He is seen wearing military uniform with a hat in his left hand and a sword extended horizontally in his right and riding upon a white horse. In the background there is a simple landscape scene, accentuating the image of Washington himself, and you can see a small encampment of military tents just to the left. The cream and yellow tones make this a perfect addition to a navy blazer and it is of course an absolute essential for lovers of American history.
