About This Pairing
The tie is a silk stripe in copper and Oxford blue, woven with a relaxed texture and handmade in Italy. The square reproduces Everett's painting of the 'Iquique' from around 1930. She is seen bow-on and cropped at the top of the frame, with storm clouds massing behind her and a shaft of light breaking through near the horizon.
The copper in the tie comes from that light, and the Oxford blue from the sea beneath it, so the stripe reads as a quiet echo of the painting.
