ABOUT THE TIE
The dark chocolate brown ground carries the same stepped abstract geometric motif as its navy counterpart, here rendered in silver and grey against the warmer ground. The combination is unusual and rather good, the darkness of the brown absorbs the metallic tones of the motif and gives back an overall impression of depth and warmth that is very different in character from the navy version, despite sharing the same pattern.
Each tie in The Vintage Collection is handmade in Italy, cut to our current silhouette. The construction and finish are identical to everything else we make. The difference is the cloth.
HOW TO STYLE THIS TIE
Dark brown is one of the most underused grounds in a working wardrobe and one of the most rewarding. This tie pairs well with mid-brown, tan, camel, and warm grey, it is at home with tweed and flannel and adds warmth to a darker suit. For anyone who finds navy ties slightly predictable, this is a more interesting alternative with exactly the same level of versatility.
