This silk lining shows the epic oil painting by John Martin of the destruction of the great cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum in 79 AD. This painting works brilliantly as  a jacket lining, with the contrast between dark and vibrant colours means it really stands out when you get a glimpse of it when used to line a darker jacket.

Usage: Generally, we find tailors prefer to work with two panels of a single painting per jacket in order to line up the image along the back seam. For full details on how best to use our linings, click here: Linings FAQ.
