Pocket Square Folds / View All Folds
The one point fold, or triangle fold, is a traditional pocket square fold that's popular for everyday wear. It’s simple and elegant enough for a corporate setting or a conservative suit, and can also add a classic edge to a casual blazer.
There’s versatility in the fold too, simply turn it over to expose the folded edges of the point, or keep it sophisticated with a simple, clean triangle protruding from your breast pocket.
Firstly, lay out your pocket square flat in front of you in a diamond shape, then fold it in half to form a triangle with the longest edge along the bottom.
Then, taking the left-hand corner, fold it over towards the right-hand corner.
Next, take the right-hand corner and fold it back over to the left-hand side. The triangle formed at the top of the pocket square should be approximately the width of your breast pocket.
Then take the excess fabric and fold it back onto the square.
Then taking the bottom part of the square, fold it up towards the peak of the triangle so that it's approximately the depth of your pocket.
Next, holding the fold tightly, pick it up and turn it over.
Finally, place in the pocket. You can either put it quite low for a subtle finish as displayed in the image above, or place the corners on the left and the right even with the top of your pocket for a more prominent look.
