- 42cm x 42cm
Roger Broders painted this scene in 1930 for the PLM railway, a locomotive threading its way through the deep green valleys below Mont Blanc, the mountains rising blue and white in the distance. The palette is rich and earthy: forest greens, warm ochres, the clean brightness of alpine snow. Printed onto Mulberry silk and finished with a hand-rolled edge, it is the kind of pocket square that looks equally well in the breast pocket of a linen suit or a tweed jacket. For anyone who finds the mountains more interesting than the sea.
