He then drew the whole composition again in pencil and reed pen, and posted the drawing to Theo in Paris on 2 July. That drawing, now in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, is the version on this square.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWithout the colour, you can see how the picture is built: short stabs of the pen for the wheat, curling hooks for the clouds, and a cypress drawn in thick, flickering strokes that still seem to be moving.
