Our oak solid stick umbrella is handmade in England from one continuous piece of wood throughout, meaning both the handle and shaft are one solid piece. The solid umbrellas are our top of the range handmade umbrellas and come with a sterling silver collar. This particular canopy is in a classic racing green. As is seen in the more expensive sticks, all our solid umbrellas come with handmade springs and, as a tipcup cannot be fitted to a solid umbrella, all solids also come with a rubber ring. The umbrella also comes with an outside case.
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, we will provide a full refund or exchange.
The family run factory we use for our umbrellas was started in England in 1868 during the reign of Queen Victoria and the process of manufacture has changed very little to this day. To obtain the high standard of quality that we require and that our customers have come to expect, we rely on the skill of hand workers rather than machines and this quality and attention to detail are the hallmarks of a Rampley & Co umbrella.
- We put a lot of time and effort into each umbrella and with the right aftercare it will last for years to come. Always open the umbrella pointing downwards, lift the ribs slightly and slide the umbrella open. After use, make sure you leave your umbrella open to dry (whenever possible). Do not allow water on the underside of your umbrella and then close it, this will eventually cause rust. For our full guide on caring for your umbrella click here.
Our solid stick umbrellas are handmade by expert craftsmen in England at a factory with centuries of experience. We use only the best quality wood with the entire shaft shaped from a single solid piece. Once shaped the shaft is expertly cut to allow for the fitting of the full reinforced frame. We then attach the high quality and lightweight canopy, ensuring the colour and pattern match the wood selected.
