Our Darsham - Light Grey Herringbone Socks, manufactured in England, are made from the highest quality cotton lisle and display the timeless herringbone pattern. The cotton-nylon blend vastly improves their durability, while the toe is hand-linked to provide a virtually seamless toe.
Manufacturing Process
Our Egyptian cotton is grown and processed in the Nile Delta, and then spun into the highest quality yarn in Italy. The fibres are extremely long which means it can then be spun into a very fine yarn.
The Mercerisation process removes all loose fibres from the yarn so it is completely smooth and creates a silky and shiny appearance. This process also increases the porosity of the yarn so they can be dyed into deep, rich and vibrant colours that will retain their colour well.
The yarn is then added to a cylinder knitting machine holding 200 very thin needles so each sock has 200 finely crafted stitches to create a very thin, high-quality dress sock.
